Delightful Kollage Lace Scarf

Thursday, December 30, 2010
During the 2009 Yarn Shop Hop, I traveled to a little yarn shop/ kids clothes shop in Minneapolis, Kansas called The Yarn Peddler where I stumbled upon some skeins of Kollage Yarns Delightful and I fell in love. The lady that owned the shop saw me eyeing the yarn and told me that it was one of her new favorites and that the yarn came with a copy of Anistasiaknits Delightful Lace Scarf pattern (seen here on ravelry) upon purchase. Sold! So, I purchased a skein in Celestial- a lavender-grey color with threads of shiny pink and green woven in because it reminded me of fairy dust or a unicorns tail and made me the happiest.

After I got the yarn home, I decided that I could not keep this yarn and it's glittery goodness all to myself, so I thought "who would like this glittery, soft, fairy dust inspired scarf more me?" and I instantly decided that this scarf has to belong to The Boy's older sister.

I knitted up this scarf during my "Fall Break" from work in only 4 days. Here's how it turned out:

Yes, those are elephant scissors. And check out my Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman wrapping paper!
