Lands End Warm up America Blanket Squares

Monday, December 6, 2010
This fall, my local knitting circle decided to participate in the Lands' End Warm up America Campaign. Those that jumped in on the campaign wagon early (before October 1) and could commit to making 51 squares, like my knitting group, received FREE cones of Lands' End Feel Good yarn to knit or crochet blanket squares. Knitters/Crocheters then had the option of creating blankets themselves or mailing their finished squares in to be made into blankets given to those in need. Lands' End also provided the patterns (shown below) to complete the squares. Each square was to measure approx. 7 x 9 in.

I was able to complete 6 squares with my allotted balls of yarn (although only 4 are pictured below). I did one of each pattern, plus two striped ones in the basic knit stitch.

Are you doing any holiday crafting for charity this season? Please share in the comments below.
