American Flag Aviators: Charlotte Russe
t-shirt: Menards (DIYed by Me)
red tank top: Wal-Mart
I kat pants: Lucky Brand

Is there such a thing as dressing TOO patriotic for American Independence Day? I don't think so. This year I decided to go super hippie-dippy with a fringed t-shirt and I kat pants. I actually refashioned this t-shirt. I basically followed one of several online tutorials for how to DIY a fringed t-shirt (see here): I took a one-size-fits all mens t-shirt and cut off the sleeves; I re-sized the shirt to be sightly more form fitting by turning the shirt inside out, laying a well fitting shirt on top of it, pinning the sides of my fringe shirt to match my well-fitting shirt and re-sewing the sides; and then created the fringe by laying the shirt flat on the table, making a straight line across the middle of my shirt with masking tape and cut 1-1.5cm strips of fringe up to my line of tape. Ta da!

How was your 4th of July?
